The assault galleon is a terran craft fielded by Mira Han during the End War against Amon. She is able to produce and field her mercenary forces from them, while using them as a powerful frontline ship, able to use polariton torpedoes alongside a suite of assault drones.[1]

Game Unit[]

Assault galleons are units available to Han and Horner in Co-op Missions, functioning as both powerful ships and production structures for Mira Han's units. Assault galleons are constructed directly from SCVs, and only five can be on the field at a time. These ships can be upgraded with drone hangars, allowing them to send out waves of assault drones to attack targets. Its role as an assault ship mixed with the ability to produce Han's cheaper units like a mobile barracks makes these ships the core of Han and Horner's forces.

Assault galleons are fairly good against any kinds of units, but are vulnerable to anti-air units such as vikings, void rays, and corruptors. Special care must be taken when the enemy has battlecruisers, as their Yamato Cannon can inflict devastating damage on an assault galleon. Scourges are also a significant threat if the assault galleons don't have their drone hangar upgrade.

One problem that can occur with the assault galleons is that they must be stationary to attack and they have a large collision size. This can result in large periods of inactivity for them during fights if they are bumping into each other. Fortunately, their long range can make up for this by letting them siege enemy positions.
