Blinking is a form of short-range teleportation.
Overview[]
Blink is an ability mastered by many dark templar, including Vorazun[1] and Zeratul.[2] Through augmentation, stalkers are able to blink. This improved mobility allows stalkers to conduct ambushes, catch fleeing foes, and generally engage on their own terms.[3] The hybrid destroyer Maar was also able to utilize this ability.[4]
During the End War, dark templar gained a greater understanding of the Void, allowing them to use an ability called shadow fury, which allowed them to blink multiple times, attacking all surrounding enemies.[5] Vorazun demonstrated an advanced version of blink named shadow dash.[1] During the conflict, stalkers' blink abilities were enhanced with the addition of phase reactors, which allowed them to regenerate shields when they blink.[5]
Tal'darim motherships have the ability to blink.[5]
After the End War, terran research into stalker technology led to the creation of the phase reactor suit, which allowed for a short range blink.[6]
