Bloodshard crystals are a type of crystal used by the Tal'darim. They were outfitted onto stolen Daelaam void rays, creating destroyers. On destroyers, bloodshard crystals are used in lieu of a phase crystal, allowing for an unstable beam that can attack multiple targets.[1] They were also outfitted on havocs; retrofitted sentries. Attunement of the crystal allowed the havoc to focus its abilities at further range.[2] Bloodshard crystals are not easily collected, however. When the Tal'darim do not have enough of them to convert a void ray into a destroyer, they make use of the ship's existing armaments without hesitation.[3]

These crystals are used for ornamentation for the personal armor of the Tal'darim highlord.[4]
