The Brontes System was a Fringe World system held by the Terran Confederacy. It consists of at least four planets, such as Brontes IV. These were sparsely populated and dedicated to mining. Their militia were few and poorly trained.[1]
A governing body, the Council of Inquiry, was created to rule the system. They sent representatives to Brontes IV. They were angry with the marshal, Bill Constantine, for allowing zerg to leave that planet and spread to other worlds in the system.[2]

The Brontes System is the site of the events of StarCraft: Insurrection. Due to Brontes IV's status as a "world not on most Confederate charts," it is unclear whether or not it contains Brontes, which is a Core World.
