Choss is a warm desert moon, popular among gliders due to its beautiful cliffs. A territory of the Terran Dominion, Strong is its planetary representative.

Choss has seasonal variation such as summer,[1] but its climate is uniform high-desert. Because of this, Choss is flippantly referred to as "New Moonxico" in guidebooks, and some of its residents refer to themselves as "New Moonxicans". The planet features elegant cliff cities which are open to those who can afford residence. Some horse rearing is done by Choss farmers, and fuel shortages are frequent.[2]

History[]

Early History[]

In the distant past, Choss possessed oceans. These oceans boiled away, leaving behind stunning outcrops and cliffs.

In 2393, Choss was settled by a terran group called the Anaranjado Noventa ("Orange Ninety"). They came to Anvil Rock, which they thought was some kind of sacred place to take a spirit journey. One century later, the centennial of this event was celebrated.[1]

The planet came under exploitation from the Terran Confederacy.[2]

Recent History[]

During the Great War or Brood War, simply called "the troubles" locally, marines clashed with zerg on the side of the moon far from Quijadas, around a way station they had set up. The conflict was minor, lasting maybe a month with minimal casualties, and the two zerg hives were destroyed. Three separate marine sanitation teams were sent in to ensure that the moon remained free of zerg. They deduced that was indeed the case, but had missed a spire and the mutalisks it housed.[1]

The moon came under exploitation from the Terran Dominion.[2]

During the Second Great War, these now feral mutalisks began to harass the terran settlements close to it. Eventually, the terrans eradicated the spire and the mutalisks it housed.[1]
