Cronus Wing is a United Earth Directorate military unit oriented toward aerospace operations. It was part of the UED Expeditionary Fleet which invaded the Koprulu Sector during the Brood War. Its ground-oriented counterpart was Atlas Wing.[1]

Although it's role was dedicated to air and space combat, it was still had a formidable ground force.[2]

History

As part of the UED Expeditionary Fleet, Cronus Wing was at the forefront of the invasion. Notable actions the unit participated in included the (failed) attempt to prevent the protoss from escaping Braxis with the Uraj,[3] successfully stealing Dominion battlecruisers from the Dylarian Shipyards,[4] the recovery of the Psi Disrupter,[5] and the invasion and occupation of Korhal.[2]

Cronus Wing suffered heavy losses with the ultimate defeat of the UED Expeditionary Fleet.[6][7]

Trivia
