Data core are buildings used by the [[Template:Moebius Foundation]] to store data regarding the location of the xel'naga artifacts.

A number of such buildings were used on Tyrador VIII to store the location of the remaining artifacts they hired Raynor's Raiders to collect. When Infested Kerrigan tried to know the location of the next xel'naga artifact by hacking into the cores, Raynor's Raiders were once again hired, this time to destroy the cores, and prevent the Queen of Blades from getting to the artifacts.[1]
