The destroyers are void rays stolen by the Tal'darim that underwent heavy modification. Instead of a prismatic core, their attacks are channeled by unstable bloodshard crystals. This creates an unstable beam that arcs between targets.[1]
Game Unit[]
The destroyer is the Tal'darim variant of the void ray, and with it serves as an assault ship option, the third being the arbiter. The destroyer's attack hits two targets at once, dealing full damage to its primary target and 1 damage to its secondary target. As it keeps attacking, its rays charge up and hit up to three additional targets while also increasing the secondary beams' damage against armored enemies by 1 on the second stage and 2 on the third stage. This makes the destroyer well-suited to fighting large numbers of weaker units. However, it is outclassed by the void ray when confronting armored enemies and sieging bases, due to the void ray's bonus damage over time and improved range allowing it to attack out of range of defense turrets. Like void rays, destroyers can attack enemies while following them.

In Co-op Missions, Alarak can summon the Death Fleet as a calldown ability, summoning a mothership with several destroyers. Their stats are identical to the campaign.
