- Dominion trooper(src)
Dominion flame troopers are a Terran Dominion trooper equipped with CPO-7 Salamander Flamethrowers. They are designed to fight masses of light ground units with bouts of flame, and are more durable than their trooper counterparts.
In the alternate timeline where Arcturus Mengsk survives the Second Great War, Mengsk utilized these soldiers in the fight against Amon.[1]
Game Unit
Flame troopers are available as an option for Arcturus Mengsk in Co-op Missions. They are upgraded from Dominion troopers for 160 minerals, and gives them the ability to attack multiple ground enemies at short range, specializing against light targets, though they lose the ability to attack air. This suit also gives the trooper an additional 100 hp. When a flame trooper dies, their gear will fall on the map, and another Dominion trooper can pick them up and upgrade themselves. The weapon will also drop if the unit swaps itself to a Dominion laborer.
Like Dominion troopers, flame troopers can be indoctrinated by an imperial witness's Patriot Mode to generate Imperial Mandate. They can also construct supply bunkers, earthsplitter ordnance, and missile turrets.[1]
