Dylar IV is an inhospitable desert world in the Koprulu Sector, although its thin oxygen-nitrogen atmosphere allows movement on the planet without the need for suits or respirators.[1] Clouds of red, yellow and pink gasses are spread throughout its atmosphere.[2]

History

In antiquity Dylar IV hosted a protoss mining colony. However, the settlement was later abandoned, becoming a set of ruins.[1]

Terran Colony

Dylar IV became a core world of the Terran Confederacy, serving as the home base of Omega Squadron[3] and the Dylarian Shipyards.[4] The world was infested by the zerg early in the war[3] and was inherited by the Terran Dominion.[4]

The Dylarian Shipyards were attacked by the United Earth Directorate Expeditionary Fleet[4] and the world's defense forces were impressed into the fleet.[5]

The world was later abandoned. Eventually, Dylar IV would be investigated by the Alliance and the ruins handed over to the protoss.[1]

Notes

According to later sources, Dylar IV is a gas giant, potentially invalidating previous information.[6][2]
