The EMP device (or EMP generator) was a powerful anti-protoss weapon designed by Schezar's Scavengers, as part of a plot led by Ulrezaj. It could create a pulse of EMP energy every ten minutes, draining protoss shields and energy[1] and disrupting communications[2] on a planetary scale. Furthermore, it had no effect on the Fist of Ulrezaj, Ulrezaj's Dark Templar forces.[1]
History[]
The device was constructed on Braxis during the Brood War.[3] Schezar would refer to the device as having been "captured."[4]
It was later transported to a space platform over Shakuras as part of a plot by Ulrezaj and Alan Schezar to defeat the Khalai refugees sheltering on Shakuras. However, protoss forces directed by Zeratul defeated the enemy forces and destroyed the generator.[1]
Notes[]
This structure has a similar effect as the newer EMP scrambler in StarCraft II.
