Elite marines are special forces marines employed by Nova in Co-op Missions. They replace the standard marine.

Game Unit[]

Elite marines deploy in teams of four from Nova's barracks for a cost of 600 minerals. Compared to normal marines they have over 300% HP and deal 150% damage. Instead of a killcount rank they have an individual name and the listed rank of corporal.

Development[]

The following section contains information from a previous version of StarCraft II which is no longer valid.

Elite marines were intended to be Kel-Morian Combine mercenaries in the Wings of Liberty campaign.[1] By the time Wings of Liberty was released, elite marines had been replaced by War Pig elite marines.[2][3]
