:No idea. StarCraft: Mass Recall is a fan remake of SC1 in the SC2 engine, but that would have come out post-2010. 64 is a port, but that was released in 2000, and, if anything, is graphically downgraded. But at the least, it shouldn't be a separate game from the original.--Hawki (talk) 06:35, June 2, 2015 (UTC) |

I know starcraft since the very beginin (I almost grew with it, as a friend got the original Starcraft a month after its release) but I only reciently discovered it has a story and it's not a generic humans vs aliens stuff, mostly thanks to heroes of the sotrm. Now I want to play the saga, and the mentioned friend told me he can get me almost any SC game with any expansion I want as he no longer plays them but...Which one should I pick first to play the storyline? I tryed to google the order, but some sites concider expansions as different games and it makes it hard o understand.
Also, I found a Starcraft 1 with 2005+ graphics, is that a remake or a tottaly different game? -- 04:03, June 2, 2015 (UTC)
If you want to play the games in story order it goes as follows:
- StarCraft
- StarCraft: Brood War (expansion)
- StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty
- StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm (expansion)
- StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void (expansion)
SC and BW each feature three campaigns that can be played in any order, but still progress chronologically, going from "Episode I" to "Episode VI." The SC2 games each have a single campaign corresponding to a single race, and progress chronologically as well.
Storywise, I recommend playing them in order, but to be honest, you can jump in straight in WoL and get a good grasp of the story, as its prologue covers past events and does a decent job of easing players into the story/world. That, and SC1 is probably a bit archaic by today's standards in terms of gameplay, though I'd argue is still playable. While there's other expansions/DLCs and a plenthora of EU material, the above five games make up the overall saga.--Hawki (talk) 05:50, June 2, 2015 (UTC)
Thanks, what about that SC 1 with updated grafics? -- 06:00, June 2, 2015 (UTC)
