Glaive cannons are a type of protoss weapon utilized by adepts. They fire discs of psionic energy. Despite their low rate of fire, these weapons can punch through light armor with ease, and emit a deadly shockwave when they strike a killing blow. A more powerful variant named the purifier glaive cannon was utilized by the Purifiers.
