In StarCraft II, guardians appear in Legacy of the Void in several missions.
Primal guardians appear as a strain of primal zerg in Heart of the Swarm.[1]
The guardian is virtually identical to its StarCraft counterpart, a slow-moving but long range aerial siege flyer. It appears as one of the zerg breeds in the Amon Brood in the Legacy of the Void campaign and as a feral zerg breed in Nova Covert Ops.
Co-op Missions
Guardians are exclusive to Abathur in Co-op Missions. Abathur unlocks upgrades for them at the spire and greater spire once he reaches Level 11. Guardians are used by Amon's forces in some missions. Dehaka has the ability to evolve primal guardians from primal roaches at Level 6.
Upgrades
Increases the range of guardian attacks by 3.
