Haji is a barren[1] moon[2] in/within range of the Koprulu Sector.
A windy world, Haji has many wind turbines, and tornadoes are frequent occurrences.[3] During/after the Guild Wars, its star system was known for lawlessness.[4]
History[]
Terran archaeologists discovered ruins on Haji. The moon was terraformed for human habitation.[2]
Under the Terran Confederacy, Haji was known for its slums[5] and "mean streets."[3] Haji was known for being the birthplace of Hajian voodoo, though the religion was considered to be dead by 2503. Formal education was rare on Haji, as it was seen as unneeded for survival.[6]
In the months/years after the Guild Wars, conflict came to its settlement of Geladi, as the Confederate Armed Forces hunted down outlaws Jim Raynor and Tychus Findlay. Confederate garrison commander General Sol Kervock set fire to part of the town of Geladi in an effort to capture them.[2] General Kervock failed. Meanwhile, Raynor and Findlay rescued civilians, who began supporting them over the Confederacy.[4] General Kervock was killed while attempting to ambush the bandit duo. His successor, Acting General Ternas Shan, put the moon under martial law.[1]
In December 2499, a few days after the protoss attack on Chau Sara, UNN reported that a Sons of Korhal team released poison gas in a public plaza on the moon.[7]
In 2503, after the defeat of Project Shadowblade, Gabriel Tosh retreated to Haji with six spectres in stasis, with the intent of hiding there until he felt the time was right to resurrect the spectre program.[6]
