"I just remembered a class from my childhood. Hermes was an Old Earth mythological god.
Yeah? So what?
He was the god of merchants. And thieves.
Plays both sides, then. Think I like this god."

- Jim Raynor and Tychus Findlay discussing Hermes's mythological namesake.(src)

Hermes is one of the three moons of New Sydney. It is a vacation spot, but like its host planet, leaves a lot to be desired. It is spartan and enclosed and harkening to the Greek god that provides its namesake, it is very much a den of thieves.

The moon's bars serve intoxicants of all varieties, injected and in liquid form. Oxygen is provided also, as due to the moon's thin atmosphere, it is easier to pass out from intoxication here than on other worlds. A bar named The Pit is located on this moon.[1]
