A hive cluster on Braken
A hive cluster is a zerg colony or base.[1][2][3] Sustained by creep, these clusters of zerg structures serve as the point from where zerg forces mine resources and spawn their broods.[4] Hatcheries and their evolved forms serve as the heart of the hive cluster,[1] and drones can be used to establish new ones.[5]
The term hatchery cluster has sometimes been used as well.[4]
