Holo-camera SC-FL2 Comic1

A holo-camera

Holo-cameras, otherwise referred to as holocams[1] or cam bots[2] are hovering terran devices, commonly used by reporters. However, they are available for private use also.[3]

Holo-cams are able to levitate off the ground, and have been used by UNN reporters since at least the Guild Wars.[2] Battery-powered, they require only a single operator. The operator can wear an eyepiece linked with the camera's footage,[4] but it can also be operated without one. The user can order a holo-cam to delete footage via vocal command[5]

Projecting holograms, they are often used in news reports, being used in conjunction with flatscreens.[6]

During the reign of the Terran Confederacy, Constantino Terra possessed a monopoly over the holo-camera industry after Continental went out of business.[7]
