HEY, WAIT A MINUTE! I greatly appreciate all the kind compliments on my two outings as Zeratul (SC 1 & 2). But let's set the record straight: The reports of my death are greatly exaggerated. I'm very much alive.

Jack Ritschel was the voice actor for Zeratul[1] and General Edmund Duke[2] in StarCraft and its expansion. Ritschel had since passed away.[1] HEY, WAIT A MINUTE! I greatly appreciate all the kind compliments on my two outings as Zeratul (SC 1 & 2). But let's set the record straight: The reports of my death are greatly exaggerated. I'm very much alive.

Fred Tatasciore, the new voice actor for Zeratul, said it was Ritschel who really captured the spirit of "this 600 somewhat year old knight templar". Tatasciore remembers him being called as a "good version of Darth Vader, presumably for his calm but deep and strong voice.[2]

Notes

According to ImDb, he also voiced Artanis in Brood War.[3]

REPORTS OF MY DEATH ARE GREATLY EXAGGERATED. This is Zeratul, Jack Ritschel....very much alive; and wondering who started the report of my death.
