Jansen is a rebel and member of the Koprulu Liberation Front.

Jansen was part of the KLF operation to destroy Borgo Refinery on Mar Sara, in order to disrupt the terrazine harvesting operations of Colonel Jackson Hauler who had his sights on the refinery. He and another agent infiltrated as Kel-Morian Combine, and helped the miners uncover a vent of terrazine, and used a drill to detonate the pocket. With the operation completed, Cole Hickson sent a dropship to pick Jansen up.
