LV-555 was a planet in the Koprulu Sector under the control of the Terran Confederacy. In 2499, six months before the protoss destruction of Chau Sara, a team of Confederate marines offloaded a crate containing a zerg organism into a battlecruiser in orbit. The zerg organism would later get loose and infest the battlecruiser.
