The metamorph is a hypothesized zerg breed, which would be developed by Sarah Kerrigan and Abathur.
The breed could direct its own evolution.[1]
Game Use[]
In StarCraft II, a zerg unit that kills 20 or more enemies is referred to as a metamorph.[2] A powerful queen residing in the massive nydus network beneath the surface of Char was labeled a metamorph in the game.[3]
Notes[]
Metamorphs do not appear in the final version of Heart of the Swarm or are even mentioned. The idea of a zerg controlling its own evolution does bear resemblance to the primal zerg however.
