Moebius reactors are micro-reactors used by ghost agents of both the Terran Confederacy and the Terran Dominion. They power the personal cloaking device of ghosts, as well as their lockdown[1] and EMP rounds.[2]

During training at Ghost Academy, moebius reactors are often controlled by an instructor during more risky training operations to prevent unauthorized cloaking. However, these safeguards are able to be overridden by ghosts with technopathy.[3] Moebius reactors also saw use from parties outside of the Ghost Program, as Doctor Emil Narud was in possession of one.[4]

In early builds of StarCraft: Ghost, Nova could pick up Moebius Capacitors as an upgrade, which would increase her total energy capacity.[5] Later builds had it serve as a means to tell how much energy Nova had.[6]

Notes[]

  • The design of the Moebius Reactor had not been cemented by the art team during the development of StarCraft, and as such the team had to create a design for it during the development of StarCraft: Ghost.[6]
