Nova Terra is controllable in Nova Covert Ops, and can be customized in a manner similar to Kerrigan in Heart of the Swarm.[1] A loadout system is used that allows players to select a device/weapon for each of Nova's slots. Four slots are available, namely helmet, suit, gadget, and weapon,[2] with five options per slot.[3]
Players who pre-purchased the Covert Ops pack obtained a Nova portrait and a female skin for ghosts in multiplayer.[4]
When Nova dies in combat, she gets respawned at a nearby command center, similar to Kerrigan who respawns at a nearby hatchery.
Allows Nova to take control of target enemy unit. Heroic units are immune. Only one enemy unit can be controlled at a time. Effect lasts until cancelled. Cooldown timer begins once the effect has been cancelled.
Psionic amplification suit. Adds +200 life, +1 armor, +0.25 movement speed, and +100 energy. Increases energy regeneration rate by 50%. Can cloak while wearing.
Prototype teleportation suit. Adds +200 life, +1 armor, and +0.25 movement speed. Allows Nova to teleport to a nearby targeted location. Nova is cloaked for 10 seconds after teleporting.
Innate Ability: Blink
Teleports Nova to a nearby target location. Ability can only be used once every 8 seconds. Nova is cloaked for 10 seconds after teleporting.
Close range shotgun. Deals damage in a frontal arc. Allows use of Penetrating Blast to deal 50 (100 vs light) damage to enemies in the arc. Can attack ground units.
Innate Ability: Penetrating Blast:
Deals 50 (100 vs Light) damage to enemy ground units in a wide arc.
Melee weapon. Ignores enemy armor and shields. Can use Dash Attack to dash forward a short distance and deal 50 damage to enemy units in Nova's path. Can attack ground units.
Innate Ability: Dash Attack:
Dashes forward and deals 50 damage to enemy ground units in a straight line. Does not damage friendly units.
High output energy weapon. Melts targets into superheated plasma that damages and slows nearby enemy units. Can use Plasma Shot to damage enemies and create additional plasma.
Innate Ability: Plasma Shot:
Fires a slow moving ball of plasma that deals 100 damage to enemies in its path and leaves behind a trail of plasma that damages and slows enemies within it.
Versatile melee and ranged weapon. Attacks deal area damage. Can use Fury of One to execute multiple attacks against enemies in a large target area. Can attack ground and air units.
Innate Ability: Fury of One:
Rapidly jump to random enemies within 5 radius 11 times, attacking each of them for 45 damage. A single target can be hit more than once. Can target ground and air units.
