- This article is about the protoss structure. For the xel'naga-crafted observation structure, see xel'naga tower.
The observatory is a protoss structure. It is required for the warping and upgrading of observers.
The protoss consider history to be of vital importance, and even during the Aeon of Strife scribes recorded the wars and their heroes for future reference. The observatory is a modern refinement of the ancient library, where data gathered by observers is recorded and cataloged.[1]

The observatory was a building in early builds of StarCraft II. It was canceled as of September 2008.[3]
The observatory was used to enable the robotics facility to warp in observers and was also the center for their upgrades and upgrades for the phase prism.[4]
It appears to have used the same model as the null circuit.
