Preston Shale was the president of Universe News Network until the Guild Wars.
In October, 2488, Shale was forced to hold a press conference after the UNN aired The Price of War, which the True Flag Forum labeled as slanderous and unpatriotic. Later, UNN reporting staff members were apprehended by Confederate officials on charges of sedition, related to the airing of unauthorized war footage. Shale released a press conference condemning the reporters and giving praise to staff member Handy Anderson for blowing the whistle. Despite his efforts, the resulting scandal caused Shale to lose his job, being replaced by Anderson himself.[1]
