Primal mutalisks are the primal zerg strain of the mutalisk.

Overview

Primal mutalisks are an everchanging breed, bearing many differences in their wings and tails. Some possess four wings and resemble wasps, while others have the solid wings similar to their Swarm counterparts. Some primal mutalisks develop subdued coloring in order to conceal themselves in many different environments.

Game Unit

A primal mutalisk skin is available in multiplayer to players who reach level 12 with the Katowice 2018 War Chest.

Heart of the Swarm

In combat, primal mutalisks are identical to their normal counterparts in the Swarm, but do not benefit from the mutalisk's upgrades in the evolution pit. They also cannot evolve into brood lords or vipers.

Primal mutalisks appear as part of Brakk's pack, and later Yagdra's pack on Zerus.

Co-op Missions

Primal mutalisks can be constructed by Dehaka in Co-op Missions. They are evolved from primal hydralisks. They can evolve the following traits:
