Prometheus Company is the Terran Dominion's infestation specialist unit. During the Second Great War, they served in Emperor Arcturus Mengsk's Royal Guard, but continued to serve under Valerian Mengsk afterwards.

During the Second Great War, Prometheus Company attacked Broodmother Ryloth's hive cluster on Marek V.

Kerrigan's newly-evolved impalers annihilated the entire unit.

Some of Prometheus Company's elite firebats were stationed aboard the Moros. They died attempting to stop Kerrigan from rescuing Commander Jim Raynor. Later, in the Imperial sector of Augustgrad, Prometheus firebats unsuccessfully attempted to defend Emperor Arcturus Mengsk's palace against the zerg and Raynor's Raiders.

During the Defenders of Man Insurgency, the Defenders of Man captured and imprisoned several Prometheus Company firebats, along with Field Response Theta medics, aboard a cargo ship in the ruins of Tarsonis City. The vessel later came under attack by feral zerg.

Plot branch : Nova Terra rescues the Terran Dominion prisoners of war

Nova Terra rescued the firebats. They subsequently assisted her in her mission.

Incinerator Gauntlets

The firebat's attack area increases by +40%.

The upgraded gauntlet channels the flamer's fuel through multiple ports rather than the single port of the previous generation, resulting in a much wider flame without any loss of intensity, allowing your firebats to hold enemies at bay with a literal wall of fire.

Incinerator Gauntlets were previously known as Bearclaw Nozzles.

Firebats gain +2 armor.

Juggernaut Plating strengthens the firebat's natural weak spots and thickens the helmet and chest pieces. This upgrade allows firebats to shrug off the attacks of other infantry units and soak up incredible amounts of damage from small-arms fire.
