Protected Space was an area of space that existed during the reign of the Terran Confederacy. One of its sides was distinctly under control by the Umojan Protectorate.
After the foundation of the Sons of Korhal, the Umojan side proved a safe haven for them to train the recruits aboard Hyperion while waiting for an opportunity to strike back at the Confederacy.
