The purifier warden is a Purifier machine in StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void.
Overview[]
- Character description.(src)
The purifier warden was sealed on Cybros with the rest of the Purifiers. When the Daelaam came to Cybros to awaken the Purifiers, the purifier warden awoke from stasis on its own. Over the years its solarite memory lattice had grown unstable, and its AI went rogue. The Daelaam destroyed the warden, and Phase-smith Karax retrieved the solarite from its remains to use in the Spear of Adun. Talandar regarded the warden's destruction as a regrettable, but necessary act.[1]
Game Unit[]
The purifier warden is a power unit, dealing high damage to single targets, and it is accompanied by its support units, warden support alpha and warden support omega. The alpha unit provides support fire, while omega heals the warden's shields. The player should destroy alpha first, then omega, then focus down the purifier warden itself. Superior numbers are the way to go; immortals are effective for their anti-armor attacks. The warden and support units all lack detection and are vulnerable to melee attacks, so any dark shrine units can handle them with ease.
Trivia[]
- The Warden's support units function very similarly to Abathur's symbiotes, providing their host with additional weaponry and a recharging shield.
