The replicants are protoss microscopic robots that can fuse themselves to copy a non-massive enemy unit, inclusively managing to plagiarize upgrades, such as cloaking. They are an addition to the protoss army in StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm.[1]
The replicant is expensive, costing 200 minerals, 200 vespene gas and 4 psi.[2]
Additional information
- Unveiled at BlizzCon 2011.
- During the trailer, four replicants, from a long distance, successfully clone two siege tanks standing on high ground, dealing a lot of damage to the tanks' marine guards. The effect creates a small white smoke at the targeted unit's location.
