Rukashal was a member of the protoss cult known as the Tal'darim or "the Forged," based in caverns under Aiur. It was led by the mysterious and powerful Xava'tor.
The Xava'tor occasionally asked for one of the Tal'darim to go with him—these volunteers were known as the "Xava'kai" ("Hands of the Benefactor")—to help him with unspecified tasks. Rukashal became one such Xava'kai. The Xava'kai would not be seen again after leaving with Ulrezaj.
Rukashal's corpse was found in the caverns beneath Aiur, having been drained by a xel'naga artifact.
