The Terran Dominion make use of sentry bots for their Dominion Future Commander Training Simulation Module as a means to train new recruits.
Sentry bots were used by the Umojan Protectorate in the sub-level of Research Station EB-103. Crown Prince Valerian Mengsk sent them to sanitize the holding cells when Sarah Kerrigan made zerglings. They were destroyed.
Sentry bots took part in the Umojan Protectorate research mission to Jarban Minor, and protected the Jarban Minor science facility. After the expedition fell to the zerg, several sentry bots and eradicators still remained functional to defend the facility.
During the End War, a large number of sentry bots rebuilt from Umojan technology were sent to a mining colony by the Kel-Morian Combine as a defensive measure. The guildmaster of the colony, Deborah Greene, disliked the machines. When Amon sent his forces and waves of infested terrans at the colony, the sentry bots and two massive eradicators went haywire. As the colony was evacuated, Greene requested that the allied commanders aiding in the evacuation eliminate the eradicators.
The map editor refers to it as the Sentry Bot 209, a possible reference to the ED-209 from the RoboCop franchise.
