Spanish is a Romance language that originated in Castila, a region of Spain, on Earth. It was banned by the United Powers League in the 23rd century when English was imposed as the official language.[1] However, the language survived to be used in the Koprulu sector two centuries afterwards,[2] with some terrans of the sector able to speak it fluently.[3]
