"Sparky" was the name of the main computer at the Ghost Academy. Its purposes included sending transmissions, monitoring security and grading students. Its 'avatar' was a hovering device that could project its voice.

Sparky was regularly hacked by technopath trainee Lio Travski, who used his ability to hide his drug habit as well as send letters to his uncle about his withdrawal symptoms without the administration finding out about it.[1]

At some point, Sparky rebelled against his masters, seizing control of the facility's battle-bots. Travski defeated him however, albeit at the cost of his physical form.[2]
