Spec ops ghosts are special forces employed by Nova in Co-op Missions. They replace the standard ghost.

Game Unit[]

Spec ops ghosts deploy in teams of two from Nova's barracks for a cost of 1000 minerals and 500 gas. Compared to normal ghosts they have 250% HP and deal 150% damage. Additionally, whenever Nova deploys spec ops ghosts, one of them will use a female skin, portrait, and unit quotes, while the other uses the standard male ghost graphics and sounds. Unlike normal ghosts, spec ops ghosts cannot launch nuclear missiles.

Their snipe ability is very effective against biological units such as zerg attack waves, as well as the void thrashers on Void Thrashing which actually count as biological.
