Spiegelman was a marine of the Terran Dominion.
Spiegelman was assigned to push the zerg back from Mar Sara, after a terrazine explosion at Borgo Refinery drew them to the planet. His squad was assigned to take out a nearby zerg hive. Spiegelman was ripped in half by an attacking zerg.[1]
