Adjutant: Special Ghost Agent 12 - 862: designation, Nova. Receiving a priority one transmission from the command ship, Bucephalus. I have Colonel Jackson Hauler on Alpha Channel Nine.
Nova: Go ahead, I'm receiving.
Hauler: You made it just in time, Nova. Apparently, less than two standard days ago, this refinery suffered a massive explosion. Since then it's been pumping a volatile, unidentified gas into the upper atmosphere. We believe the alien Zerg were lured here by the gas itself. I want you to investigate what's left of the refinery and find out what you can about that gas. Odds are the explosion was no accident.
Nova:Understood, Colonel. I'll take care of it.
Hauler: Move quickly. The Zerg are wreaking havoc with our defense forces: if we can't contain the aliens, we may need to evacuate the planet post-haste.

Nova: Adjutant, patch me through to the Bucephalus.
Adjutant: Alpha Channel Nine secure. Go ahead, Nova.
Nova: Colonel, from what I can gather, the gas that destroyed the refinery is called 'Terrazine'. The miners didn't know anything about it, but it seems there were two saboteurs here who did.
Hauler: Have you ID'd them?
Nova: Not yet, but I'll try to reestablish power so I can access the rest of the station's security logs.
Hauler: Understood. Encountered any Zerg yet?
Nova: Not directly, sir. But I am keeping my fingers crossed.
Hauler: Cute. Keep me posted. Hauler out.

Nova: Damn, the entire grid's completely off-line. Adjutant, is it possible to reestablish power manually?
Adjutant: Negative. The direct routes to the power core were compromised during the explosion. However, station schematics point toward a secondary cooling conduit that runs between this building and the primary core. The conduit itself could provide access to the plant core.
Nova: Perfect. I'll check it out.

Nova: Adjutant, patch me through to the Bucephalus.
Adjutant: I have Colonel Hauler on Alpha Channel Nine. Go ahead.
Nova: Apparently, sir, the two saboteurs were hired in the weeks prior to the explosion. Eyewitness reports suggest that the two had extensive military and demolitions training. It seems clear they were after samples of the Terrazine.
Hauler: Who were they working for?
Nova: Who else? They were KLF, sir. Intercepted transmissions suggest they were taking direct orders from a 'Cole Hickson'.
Hauler: Son of a bitch... I knew it was him! Hickson and his little rebel militia have been hounding the Dominion for months! Sooner or later we're going to have to put them down... For now, our immediate concern is the Zerg!
Nova: Your orders, sir?
Hauler: As long as the Terrazine keeps pumping into the atmosphere, the aliens aren't likely to budge. We'll need to destroy the gas pocket and erase any evidence that the Terrazine was ever here. I want you to access the station's main drilling rig and set it to overload. The resultant blast should vaporize what's left of the refinery and collapse that gas pocket for good.
Nova: Understood, sir. Consider it done.
Mission 1-2[]
- Briefing 1
Adjutant: Nova, I have an incoming transmission from Colonel Hauler. Stand by.
Hauler: You've done well, Nova. But now that the Terrazine is shut off, the Zerg have become even more erratic. For the time being, I need you to support our defense forces on the ground. Chimera Base lies just over the ridge, and it's been taking a beating. Once you hit the ground, report to the forward post and see if you can help take some heat off.
Nova: No problem, sir. I've got it covered.

Adjutant: Receiving transmission from the command ship, Bucephalus:
Hauler: Exemplary performance, Nova. You saved Chimaera Base and got our heavy armor onto the field. You just bought us the time we needed to mount a counter attack against the Zerg.
Warfield: Indeed. Colonel Hauler has always spoken very highly of you, Nova. Now I can see why.
Nova: Th - thank you, sir.
Hauler: Nova, this is my superior, General Horace Warfield. The General's here to oversee the offensive. For the time being, you'll be answering directly to him. Give him your best! Hauler out.
Warfield: Thanks to you shutting down that gas plume earlier, the Zerg halted their offensive. However, their primary hive cluster still represents a clear and present danger.
Warfield: Intel's pinpointed its location, but there are numerous Sunken Colonies preventing our ground forces from moving in. It's up to you to deal with those Colonies. Proceed to grid-site XR:104.1 and await further orders. Warfield out.

Warfield: The armored column is making progress towards the hive, but we've discovered a new obstacle in our path: the Zerg have infested one of our mobile Command Centers and parked the damned thing right in the middle of the pass!
Warfield: I have Battlecruisers standing by that can flatten the structure with their Yamato Energy Cannons. However, the Spore Colonies surrounding the Command Center are preventing any ships from getting near it.
Nova: Understood, General. I'll take care of those colonies.
Mission 1-3[]
- Briefing 1
Warfield: Brilliant work, Nova. Now the armored division can move in and surround that hive cluster. While I'm confident our guns can blast the Zerg to kingdom come, I'm giving you one last mission to ensure our total victory here.
Nova: Just name it sir.
Warfield: Our orbiting capital ships are armed with precision-point nuclear warheads. I want you to infiltrate the primary hive and call down a tactical strike within its heart.
Nova: I see. I'll have to time this perfectly or I'll be caught in the blast. Will I be moving in with the armored division sir?
Warfield: No, you'll be on your own. One of our recon squads discovered a secondary hive entrance through a nearby canyon system. Using a Goliath walker, you should be able to traverse the canyon with little difficulty. Once you reach the hive you'll be on foot.
Mission 2-1[]
Hauler: Ah, Nova. Right on schedule. General Warfield regrets that he was called back to Korhal before he could speak with you, but he wanted me to congratulate you on the success of your mission. I hope you're good and rested after the Mar Sara affair, because you're going to be spearheading our next offensive.
Nova: I'm ready for anything, sir.
Hauler: Good. Based on the evidence you found at the Borgo Refinery, intel's convinced that the KLF has stolen samples of terrazine, and is using them to conduct clandestine experiments from their hidden base. The KLF already poses a signifigant threat to the Dominion. We cannot risk them using the gas against us.
Nova: Understood. Do we know where they're hiding?
Hauler: We managed to track one of their ships that escaped from Mar Sara. It led us to the planet Vyctor 5, the site of an old Dominion research facility known as Pinnacle Base. Our forces are currently orbiting the planet, awaiting the order to strike, however, Pinnacle's automated defenses need to be taken out before the assault can begin.
Nova: So you need me to sneak in and unlock their front door for you. Sounds fun. When do we go?
Hauler: Provided you don't have any vacation plans, you'll be leaving within the hour.

Be careful, gentlemen. The call went out three hours ago. Dominion Marine Forces are en route!

2_2_2_BRIEFINGTEXT02 You'll need to Lockdown that camera to make it through the door undetected. Lockdown rounds are fired from the Canister Rifle while in Sniper View. Press White to enter Sniper View, {B} to fire a round.
2_2_2_BRIEFINGTEXT03 Security doors only allow functioning Marine suits in and out. Stun the Marine and drag him into the airlock to get inside. Command out.
2_2_2_BRIEFINGTEXT04 The hangar is equipped with an automatic fire-suppression systems for emergencies like this. Use your Sight ability to find your way to the master control panel and override the system.
2_2_2_BRIEFINGTEXT05 Now descend into the airshaft near the stairs. The fog emission system will have retracted so your way is clear.
2_2_2_BRIEFINGTEXT06 A control panel at the far end of this corridor manages the refueling for hangar ships. Start the refueling process, and await further orders.
2_2_2_BRIEFINGTEXT07 Now enter the Dropship and fire the engines. The fuel line will ignite, giving you a few seconds to escape before the Dropship itself explodes. The hangar's automatic fire-suppression system will then take over.
2_2_2_BRIEFINGTEXT08 Underneath the hangar platform is a ventilation shaft - follow it to the crew area, and make your way to the lounge. From there your path should be clear, all personnel should be occupied with base defenses.
