StarCraft II: Shadow Wars: Part 1 is the first issue of the StarCraft II: Shadow Wars comic series.[1]
Synopsis[]
Over the planet of Adena, a Terran Dominion force arrives to secure a cache of jorium crystals abandoned on an outpost below during the colony, hoping to sell them on the black market. However, their movement violated the demilitarized zone between Daelaam and Dominion space. Their leader, Captain Hogarth was initially skeptical about stealing the jorium for themselves, but after seeing his cut he agreed. The marines and mercenaries on the ship prepared to suit up and move down to the surface, but one marine, Elms, refused to get into her combat suit, saying her mechanical arm was acting up. She was told to get ready as they were leaving. Meanwhile the protoss aboard Saalok's Eye under Admiral Urun were skeptical of the terrans, but allowed them to land.
On the ground, the marine team approached the outpost, and found eighteen crates (which they reported to command as a total loss, but some marines took for themselves). However, Elms discovered creep in the outpost. Just then, the zerg attacked them.[2]
