Great Fleet vs Golden Armada[]
Kinda the same question as I begin merging the Daelaam and Protoss Protectorate, how do we deal with this vs the Golden Armada? Should this just be for the In Utter Darkness fleet, or should we just have this redirect to the Golden Armada, since that seems to be the established Daelaam fleet name. - Personally, I think they should be separate. LotV tends to use Great Fleet and Golden Armada as synonyms, but not to the extent that they're automatically the same group (e.g. "bringing the might of the Great Fleet" - the GA is part of the GF, so could be said to be its "might"...maybe).
- There's also the fact that the GF was constructed primarily to retake Aiur, and has been referred to as "the largest fleet of protoss ships ever constructed. It's possible that the GA is a replacement for the GF, but based on all the data, one didn't become the other. Personally, my instinct is to treat the GA as part of the GF - it's fair to assume that other protoss ships weren't at Aiur when Amon took control of the GA, and both seem to have been wiped out by the end of LotV.--Hawki (talk) 04:05, December 6, 2015 (UTC)
