Rally drones vs other units Edit

According to some reports, there aren't separate rally buttons, just that drones only rally to resources and otherwise other units go elsewhere.[1] I think we have videos that disprove this, though. PSH aka Kimera 757 (talk) 04:49, 10 February 2009 (UTC)

I know this is an old topic, but in case anyone is reading here, there are indeed two buttons for rallying from the hatchery. Without using the buttons, right clicking on resources will automatically set the drone rally, whereas clicking elsewhere will set the "everything else" rally. -- Techpriest88 00:32, October 19, 2010 (UTC)

Producing from Multiple Hatcheries Edit

"If I were to group several hatcheries and hit 's' to select their larva and proceed to make units, will the morphing larva be divided evenly between the hatcheries? For example, I select all larva at three separate hatcheries and decide to morph 6 eggs as zerglings. In this case, will 2 eggs morph at each hatchery or will I more likely get 3 eggs at each of two hatcheries (assuming they all had just 3 larva)?


I ask, because when I group barracks, for example, and queue up marines, they will be produced evenly at each barracks. With queens spawning larva, it would be beneficial to split production between multiple hatcheries so you'd need only one injection at each to recover the larva, for example, rather than 3 uses at one hatchery. Let me know what you find and what you think, I might test it myself later on."
