ESL info[]

It was discussed at the ESL Finals 2009 event. It has the ability to increase the speed at which probes harvested resources.<ref>Gradius. 2009-01-10. [http://www.sclegacy.com/showthread.php?t=253 StarCraft II @ ESL Finals]. ''StarCraft Legacy.'' Accessed 2009-01-17.</ref>

Cavez effectively said the beta doesn't have a fixed date, putting the ESL info in doubt. PSH aka Kimera 757 (talk) 19:12, 16 February 2009 (UTC)

Move needed[]

Karune said that it has been renamed to the obelisk, lost null shield, and gained as shield recharge ability. It also is no longer a pylon. CC-2054Talk 16:24, 9 June 2009 (UTC)

Edit: Here is the source.

It's been updated now. PSH aka Kimera 757 (talk) 23:22, 9 June 2009 (UTC)

Revamp?[]

It is now in the campaign as a research item and does now nothing listed in the article. XSuperGamerTalk 03:17, August 10, 2010 (UTC)

Whoa[]

DarkPylon SC2 DevGame1 Found out this is still in the map editor under the name "Monolith". However, monolith redirects to "Monolyth", the planet. Something has to be done about this. XSuperGamerTalk 03:31, August 10, 2010 (UTC)

Obelisk and Monlith[]

Ok. We need to get this information all straight. The Obelisk is still in the campaign. It appears in Zeratul's third mission, "Echoes of the Future", where you get information from the Overmind. There are two, and they are for protoss research points. They do nothing else. However, while looking at that map today, I found a very curious object placed out of the player's visibility. It is called a "Super Warp Gate". I found it yesterday just browsing through all the different units in the map editor. All it is just a very small gateway in warpgate form. I'm not going to say what it does yet, but it's very awesome. I'll make an article on it.

Anyway, on to the Monolith. I don't know if it exists in campaign, but in-game it cannot be selected. So... that's weird. But it does act just like a pylon. It has a psionic matrix (I found this out by placing a pylon on the map and selecting it, which shows all the psionic matrices on the map. The monolith had one too.) It also gives 8 supply just like a pylon.

What I want to know is, should we keep all the information about what the obelisk/dark pylon used to do in the obelisk article, or move it to the monolith article? XSuperGamerTalk 15:22, August 10, 2010 (UTC)

Just to make things more confusing, there's the "dark green pylon" and "obelisk"-looking thing.

Given their different functions, I think the article should then be split, with current information going into the monolith article, with notes mentioning it looks just like a dark pylon/obelisk/whatever. PSH aka Kimera 757 (talk) contribs) 15:55, August 10, 2010 (UTC)

I can go for that. - Meco (talk, contribs) 16:35, August 10, 2010 (UTC)
