As stated in Shadow Hunters, the Zerg had not been seen for nearly 4 years after Brood Wars. Therefor, the Creep sample, and this entire story for that matter, either occurred directly after or during the Brood War, or during or after Shadow Hunters. I would to be the first, but I think its the latter.Drakolord7 05:07, 1 March 2009 (UTC)
Technically, obtaining creep wouldn't require contact with the zerg so much in the scale set in the previous wars. And as per publishing order, the story occurs in 2505 after the DTS anyway.--Hawki 08:17, 1 March 2009 (UTC)
Oh, well thank you for that. I wonder if we will see the Mutated Creep used anytime in the near future. Could make for a cool new character in StarCraft 2 possibly.76.102.144.154 06:18, 2 March 2009 (UTC)
Since it has been revealed that the High Templarare protected from infestation due to the Khala, I wonder why it is Dark Templar don't get infested?Drakolord7 04:33, 6 April 2009 (UTC)
I think the zerg only had one opportunity (Into the Darkness), and presumably it takes time. PSH aka Kimera 757 (talk) 12:33, 6 April 2009 (UTC)
Nice point. By way of theorization, it's possible that the dark templar's use of the Void may afford some protection, considering the harm such energy does to cerebrates and the Overminds.--Hawki 12:50, 6 April 2009 (UTC)
