How many supply does it take?(76.247.222.101 03:42, 26 September 2007 (UTC))

According to this image, the Thor costs 300 Minerals, 300 Vespene Gas and 6 Supply.

Also, looking at Blizzard's Terran Gameplay video, it seems to have a base armour of 10 (Cobras deal 35 damage to heavily armoured targets but the Thor was only taking 25 damage from each attack) and roughly 45-50 base damage (a Cobra went from 130 to about 85 health after the initial shot). The Cobra was cancelled and its role transferred to the Thor. I will remove the Cobra part of this page, as you can not be countered with what is not there.--Sandwichman2449 21:07, 15 December 2007 (UTC)

Dying twice?[]

In a recent build, the Thor needs to be "killed" twice, once to make it immobilized, due to its large size, and then the second time to kill it for good. When immobilized, the Thor will still be able to attack. While the Thor is immobilized, an SCV can repair it back to full health, having it regain mobility.[1] It is balanced so that if a player's forces destroy one and then the Disabled Thor is left alone, that player will do pretty well. Attacking the Disabled Thor makes things go pretty well for the Thor's cost.[2]

Height= vulnerable to turrets?[]

The colossus is so tall it can be attacked by air-only units as well as ground units. Is it the same with the Thor? --70.179.98.58 03:43, 20 February 2009 (UTC)

We have never been told that, despite numerous people getting to play at BlizzCon 2008. I strongly suspect it doesn't have that property, being "wide" rather than tall. PSH aka Kimera 757 (talk) 03:55, 20 February 2009 (UTC)

The Cool Thor Mission[]

There's supposed a Thor Mission where an extra-powerful thor undergoes a spectacular death animation upon its destruction. Source: [2] or [3] (need to double check)

Presumably it takes place in the Valhalla installation.

Furthermore, Tychus Findlay takes part in that mission. Source: [4]

Role Clarification[]

Ok, I'm a little confused. First the Thor started out with the 250mm cannons then it was switched to the heavy hitting mobile SAM site on legs and now is it back to the cannons again?--For the Swarm! 07:20, July 6, 2010 (UTC)

It has both. PSH aka Kimera 757 (talk) contribs) 11:17, July 6, 2010 (UTC)

Immortality Protocol[]

Once researched Thors that are killed in the field will become a broken down version of them with full health. They can not attack but can be repaired at a cost. SCV's are not able to bring back the unit. You must manually bring Thors back by hitting the button. Single Player only of course. --Mercsenary 06:12, August 2, 2010 (UTC)

Close relatives?[]

Thor resembles much of a Macross series "Monster MK II" mecha (picture and description) - they are both assault/fire support heavy combat walkers, both have four main cannons on the back and so on. Is it a coincidence? --92.100.174.209 19:58, September 24, 2010 (UTC)

Most likely. Mechs will sometimes just share a similar shape due to parallel thinking. Here's a good example. http://sarna.net/wiki/images/1/1d/3055U_Stone_Rhino.jpg --For the Swarm! 03:46, September 25, 2010 (UTC)

Thor Voice Actor[]

I'm pretty sure it was Daran Norris, the same voice of Jorgen Von Strangle.

You have no proof. PSH aka Kimera 757 (talk) contribs) 15:02, September 1, 2012 (UTC)
Check the Credits- if there is one- the voice person would be there- normally. Alockwood1 (talk) 00:55, September 2, 2012 (UTC)
I was under the impression that only characters get voice actors assigned to them in the game credits section. PSH aka Kimera 757 (talk) contribs) 01:08, September 2, 2012 (UTC)
I might be wrong- though in a few other games I've played, the game does list the voice actors of the regular units, in addition to those of the Character Units. Alockwood1 (talk) 01:41, September 3, 2012 (UTC)

New Profile Pic for the Thor?[]

By now there must be plenty of viable images of the Thor we can use for it's profile pic. Artwork, gameplay, official databases, et cetera. Yet we end up with an image with a monochromatic art style, which only shows it's side? I got some screen shots here that should suffice. SubjectTheta3 (talk) 19:06, September 22, 2020 (UTC)

The first piece of art, in spite of looking like a thor, is supposed to be the Odin chasing a Shadowguard (Pandora), it's the official piece of art for the short story Collateral Damage. Thus we can't use it for the thor article. The second piece of art though is doable, it's from the old unit science page for the thor. I'll look around since I do agree we should change it up. --Subsourian (talk) 19:13, September 22, 2020 (UTC)
