Tarsonis City, the main city of Tarsonis, was so grand it was named twice. It has suburbs with more people than some Terran-populated planets. It was the seat of the Confederate Government and included bodies such as the Council. Tarsonis has its own city council, which has a reputation for corruption.[1]

The tallest buildings in Tarsonis City were the Terra Skyscraper, the Kusinis Tower, and the Universal News Network Building.[2][1] It was protected by the Tarsonis Police Force.[2] The city was the site of a large battle between the Sons of Korhal and Confederate forces though was cut short when the Zerg invaded the planet, destroying much of the city and its population. All organizations in the city, such as the Tarsonis Police Force, the city council, government and military HQ were wiped out during the Zerg invasion and thus, now stands as nothing but a ruin.

The Gutter

The Gutter consisted of the Southwest and Southern Districts of Tarsonis City; it is desperately poor and run by crime lords such as Fagin. The police make virtually no attempt to solve crimes there, in part because of bribes from the criminals who rule there. It is divided into a number of suburbs, streets, etc. many of them run by Fagin's subordinates;[2]

  • Colman Avenue: The main thoroughfare between Decker Way and Pyke Lane.
  • Cramville: The suburb furthest away from Fagin's HQ in Duckworth (see below). Run by Evan.
  • Decker Way: A long street which featured a pawnshop, pharmacy, bar and bodega. The bodega was owned by Gray and Alanna Milton, who bought it five years before the events of StarCraft Ghost: Nova, having saved up money from working at the hoverbike plant in Palombo Valley. It was conspicuously the only store in the area which didn't have an Advertising Artificial Intelligence (AAI).
  • Duckworth: The "nicest" suburb of the Gutter in that there was housing more than one hundred square feet. Fagin's HQ is situated here.
  • Gladstone Way: Featured a novelty store and a bodega, used mainly for card games for Markus Ralian's people.
  • Greene
  • Kistios: "Prime territory" for crime lord Fagin, in which his followers sold the drug hab. Run by Francee, with Harold as her subordinate. Featured Kenshi Kafé, a Japanese bistro known for serving good tea. Harold could usually be found there.
  • O'Callaghanis: "Prime territory" for crime lord Fagin, in which his followers sold the drug hab. First run by Manfred then Tenilee.
  • Pyke Lane: Geographically closest to the "snooty" part of Tarsonis City. It was first run by crime lord Orphy Jones until he was killed by another crime lord named Grin. After Fagin betrayed him, Markus Ralian was given control over the suburb. Featured a fone (phone) shop, a jewelry store and a news vendor.
  • Stephens: "Prime territory" for crime lord Fagin, in which his followers sold the drug hab.
