Unbuildable structures are small map structures which can be destroyed, and which ground units can walk-over. They are in front of ramps in natural bases.
Different from Destructible rocks or Rock pillars, the function of unbuildable structures is to obstruct players from building structures to close off ramps. By increasing the area required to cover to block off a ramp with buildings, aggressive strategies which rely on containing the opposing player in their main base are made much more difficult to achieve.
Three types of unbuildable structures exist, which have same function and characteristics. They are:
- Unbuildable Plates
- Unbuildable Bricks
- Unbuildable Rocks
The type is placed in maps by mapmakers to conform to the predominant Tileset of the map.
