Veridia Prime was a Terran Dominion resort world. It was densely populated[1], and contained rare xenon crystals. The planet is famed for its geothermal activity which was regulated by environmental stabilizers, and is home to gigantic molten salamanders, including one named by the population as "Molten Sal."

History[]

During the End War the planet came under attack by the forces of Amon, who triggered volcanic eruptions that threatened to destroy the planet.[2]

His terraforming of the world devastated its natural resources.[3]

Valerian Mengsk tasked allied commanders with preventing the world's destruction. The planet began to surge with lava at regular intervals and to move closer to destruction. An environmental stabilizer was nearby, but needed twenty xenon crystals to power it. Universal News Network reporter Donny Vermillion reported on the progress made by allied commanders as they gathered the crystals and fought off Amon's forces.

During the battle, Molten Sal began to attack a nearby settlement, but would only emerge when the lava tide was high.

The allied commanders were able to reactivate the environmental stabilizer, and prevent the planet's destruction.[2]

Notes[]

The planet was referred to as "Viridium Prime" in a pre-release blog post.[1]

Both names may act as ironic reference to the word "viridian", a term used to describe something that is verdant.
