The xel'naga watcher is a variant of the observer enhanced by xel'naga technology. In an alternate timeline where Zeratul survived the opening stages of the End War, the dark prelate deployed them against Amon's Forces.

Game Unit

The xel'naga watcher is available to Zeratul in Co-op Missions. They serve as Zeratul's mobile detection, and can be upgraded to increase their speed and sight radius.

This unit or structure can detect cloaked, burrowed, duplicated and hallucination enemies.

The xel'naga watcher is permanently cloaked. They cannot be seen or directly attacked by enemy forces, unless they have detector support.

The xel'naga watcher can switch to Surveillance Mode. In Surveillance Mode the xel'naga watcher is immobile and gains 50% increased sight radius. Can switch back to Watcher Mode to move again.
