Xerxes was a high templar who served the Protoss Empire. He held a deep love for Aedus.
Xerxes served alongside Demioch in the earliest stages of the Great War, and the two became dear companions. When the need became apparent, Xerxes merged with Aedus to form an archon named Aedus/Xerxes. However, the love between the two lasted little longer than their union, and the archon turned to self-loathing.
